Carlos Buj, Spain – My name is Carlos. I am creating my own organisation on Responsible Tourism in Spain while I carry out some related freelance jobs. I am particularly interested in RT education and training.

Catalin Hrisca, Romania – The relationship between tourism and environment has been a particular field of interest for me since 1998 when I started research on this topic in Romania. After I completed my PhD in geography in France, I have worked for the national administration in my country, dealing with regional cooperation, including tourism. My traineeship at the European Commission was focused on the Baltic Sea Strategy.

Christoph Amthor, Czeck Republic – Project Manager and Co-Founder of the Czech non-profit NGO Burma Center Prague

Emily Höckert, Finland - Doctoral student, Department of Political and Economic Studies, University of Helsinki. Representative of a research project Policies and Practices of the Tourism Industry – A Comparative and Interdisciplinary Study on Central America (POLITOUR).

Frans de Man, Netherlands – Sustainable Tourism has been my field of work from as early as 1984, when I was the first coordinator of the Dutch foundation Tourism & Third World which was one of the founding members of TEN (First European Network for sustainable tourism).
From there I founded the Retour foundation (1986), and have been working for this foundation until now. Five years ago Retour helped me taking over a small scale entreprise in a tourism area: Big Fish in Tarifa. I have been turning this shop into a best practise of responsible small scale entrepreneurship. (http://www.retour.net/)

Fatma Kalkan, Turkey - I am Fatma, I live in Turkey. I wanted to participate in this workshop because there is a close relationship between the workshop topic and my job and my career.
